PLO 2. Demonstrate an understanding of the principles of economic science, the peculiarities of the functioning of economic systems PLO 4. Use professional arguments to convey information, ideas, problems and ways to solve them to specialists and non-specialists in the field of economic activity PLO 6. Apply appropriate economic-mathematical and statistical methods and models to solve economic problems PLO 12. Identify sources of information and understand the methodology for determining and methods of obtaining socio-economic data, collect and analyze the necessary information, calculate economic and social indicators PLO 13. Form of study
Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know: the nature of the formation and manifestation of socio-economic processes; basics of organizational and software-methodological support of statistical observation, types of observation errors and causes of their occurrence; methods of processing and analysis of statistical information in statics and dynamics, as well as its visualization. 2. Have the skills to plan statistical observations; combining different forms and types of observation and coordination of their data; information retrieval skills; methods of forecasting mass social phenomena and processes; preparation of analytical notes on the results of statistical monitoring.
Course content
The content of the discipline is revealed in the following topics: methodological principles of statistical monitoring; information and analytical support of statistical monitoring; primary and modern forms of statistical monitoring; statistical monitoring of economic phenomena and business processes; financial monitoring and statistical monitoring of exchange activity; statistical monitoring of economic activity of the population; statistical monitoring of demographic development; statistical support for monitoring the functioning of the education sector; statistical monitoring in the health care system; statistical monitoring of socio-political tensions and public safety; statistical monitoring and sociological surveys.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The purpose of the discipline is to form students' theoretical knowledge of modern methodological support of statistical monitoring and practical skills of organizing and conducting statistical monitoring of social phenomena and processes. The educational task of the course is to study the basic methods of planning, as well as ways to organize and conduct statistical monitoring in various spheres of public life.
Assessment methods and criteria
Forms of student assessment: (max. Points 60 / min. Points 36) 1. Participation in laboratory work (discussions, preparation and presentation of one theoretical question, performance of individual and group practical tasks, development of a group project) - 10 points / 6 points 2. Modular test - 20 points / 12 points 3. Execution of 2 individual independent works - 15 points / 9 points each. - final assessment in the form of an exam
