Learning outcomes
PLO 5. Apply analytical and methodological tools to substantiate proposals and make managerial decisions by various economic agents (individuals, households, enterprises, and public authorities). PLO 6. Use professional reasoning to convey information, ideas, problems, and ways to solve them to specialists and non-specialists in the field of economic activity. PLO 22. Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in new situations, in dealing with new objects and in uncertain conditions. PLO 25. Apply appropriate mathematical methods for the analysis of economic phenomena in terms of fundamental principles and knowledge of economics.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
To Know: the basics of operations research, in particular approaches to mathematical modeling of economic processes and systems, methods of quantitative and qualitative analysis of optimal solutions; basic concepts of economic theory and patterns of functioning of economic systems. Have the skills of abstract thinking, analysis, synthesis, understanding of decision-making problems for managing economic systems, substantiation of optimal solutions for solving economic problems based on models and methods of operations research, application of knowledge in practice.
Course content
Module 1. "Economic and mathematical modeling of rational behavior of economic systems in conditions of uncertainty and conflict." The module discusses the general characteristics of problems in conditions of uncertainty and conflict, criteria for determining alternative solutions, mathematical formalization of conflict situations in the form of games, basic concepts of game theory, game classification, matrix games, solving matrix games in pure and mixed strategies. Module 2. "Antagonistic, non-coalition and positional games". The module considers methods of finding optimal strategies for antagonistic games, bimatric games, economic examples of antagonistic games, finding optimal strategies in antagonistic games, positional games, economic examples of positional games.

Assessment methods and criteria
Semester assessment: 1. Survey and problem solving: 25 points / 15 points; 2. Tests on 1 - 7 topics: 25 points / 15 points; 3. Tests on 8-12 topics (tasks): 25 points / 15 points. The final work is carried out in the form of a written test, which consists of 25 tests and evaluated with a maximum of 25 points (minimum 15 points) and is conducted in one of the last practical classes of the discipline.
