Learning outcomes
Learning outcomes include understanding the subject area and professional activity, the ability to apply knowledge in practical situations; familiarizing students with the spatial organization of the social sphere, taking into account the cause-and-effect relationships of social and economic processes at the global, national and regional levels; developing in students the skills and abilities of their own reflection, appropriate and critical use of theories, concepts, ideas to explain modern processes in the labor market, gender disparities in the context of sustainable development of Ukraine; mastering the skills of using information and communication technologies, the ability to search, process and analyze information from various sources; the ability to exercise their rights and responsibilities as a member of society, to realize the values of civil society and the need for its sustainable development, the rule of law, the rights and freedoms of people

Prerequisites and co-requisites
To successfully master the knowledge of the discipline "Geography of Labor and Gender", students must: have basic knowledge of the courses of fundamentals of social geography, social geography, geography of population and settlement, economic geography; be able to analyze the causes and assess the consequences of demographic and migration processes for the formation of labor resource potential in regions, gender disparities; possess methods of analysis and synthesis of geographic information, comparative geographical analysis, grouping and typification.
Course content
The academic discipline "Geography of Labor and Gender" is a component of the OP "Economic Geography" for training specialists at the educational and qualification level "bachelor" in the field of knowledge 10 Natural Sciences in the specialty 106 Geography. The discipline "Geography of Labor and Gender" is selective and is taught to students in the VI semester (in the third year) in the amount of 5 ECTS credits. The academic discipline is dedicated to the study of the theoretical and methodological principles of the geography of labor and gender; basic concepts of the labor market, employment and unemployment; models, conjuncture, industry and territorial structure of the labor market; regulation and management of the labor market; gender equality in society; regional features of gender relations in the labor market; regional features of gender discrimination; gender policy.

Assessment methods and criteria
The course includes 2 content parts. Classes are held in the form of lectures and seminars. The discipline ends with an exam.
The number of points that a student receives during the semester is the sum of the points that were received when evaluating work in seminars
and performing thematic tests. Work in seminars is evaluated by performance, in accordance with the schedule of seminars. Thematic tests are conducted in the form of a test. Conditions for admission to the exam: the recommended minimum for admission to the exam is 36 points. For students who have scored less than 36 points in total, a mandatory condition for admission to the exam is writing essays on questions of missed or insufficiently mastered topics.
The final assessment in the form of an exam is carried out in a written format. The maximum number of points during the exam is 40, the minimum number of points added to the semester points is 24 (60% of the maximum number of points allocated for the exam).
