Learning outcomes
Providing students with knowledge of the spatial-temporal patterns of the geocultural process and the ability to analyze the cause-and-effect relationships of the formation of culture with the features of geographical living conditions and their impact on the transformation of culture, as well as acquiring competencies: knowledge and understanding of the subject area and understanding of professional activity; interpersonal interaction skills; the ability to search, process and analyze information from various sources; the ability to exercise one's rights and obligations as a member of society, to realize the values ​​of a civil (free democratic) society and the need for its sustainable development, the rule of law, the rights and freedoms of man and citizen in Ukraine; the ability to preserve and multiply moral, cultural, scientific values ​​and achievements of society based on an understanding of the history and patterns of the development of the subject area.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Successful mastery of the disciplines of the natural-geographical and social-geographical cycle, in particular the disciplines of the geographical direction: "Social Geography", "Geographical Local History and Regional Studies", "Social Geography", "Geography of Population and Settlement", the discipline of general education "Ukrainian and Foreign Culture". Knowledge of general geographical patterns, basic geographical terminology, understanding of the processes of interaction between society and nature in the formation of the landscape shell and the formation of the ethnosphere.
Course content
The subject of the discipline "Geography of Culture and Religion" is to determine the geospatial features of the existence of culture, the methodology of geocultural research; to reveal the relationship between ethnogenesis, culturogenesis and sociogenesis with the natural environment in the formation of economic and cultural types; to reveal the features of the geography of elements of material and spiritual culture; the specifics of the formation of geographical and ecological culture; to characterize the geocultural and georeligious situation in the world and in Ukraine. The discipline is aimed at forming in students special professional, social and personal competencies, the accumulation of knowledge about the possibility of critical thinking, analysis and synthesis, the ability to search, process and analyze information from various sources, the ability to determine, formulate and solve problems in the field of socio-economic geography, which involves the formation of the ability to apply the acquired knowledge of the characteristics, processes, composition of nature and society, the structure and interaction of geospheres, which is the essence of geographical theories.

Assessment methods and criteria
The level of achievement of all planned learning outcomes is determined by the results of the survey, writing of module tests (MKR) and presentations at seminars. The specific weight of learning outcomes in the final assessment, provided that they are mastered at the proper level, is as follows: learning outcomes – 1 (knowledge) – up to 35%; learning outcomes – 2 (skills) - up to 40%; learning outcomes – 3 (communication) - up to 15%; learning outcomes – 4 (autonomy and responsibility) - up to 10% 7.1 Forms of student assessment: The course includes 2 substantive parts. Classes are held in the form of lectures and seminars. The discipline ends with a test. Semester assessment: the number of points that a student receives during the semester is the sum of the points that were obtained when evaluating presentations at the seminar, survey and performing module tests.
