Learning outcomes
The learning outcomes consist in the formation of students' knowledge of the methodology for conducting recreational and geographical research, practical skills in assessing resources for the needs of recreational activities and conducting scientific research, namely: the foundations and principles of organizing and conducting scientific research; compiling an abstract review; researching resources for the needs of recreational activities; writing and presenting scientific papers; planning field recreational and geographical research.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful completion of the courses: "Human geography", "Economic geography", "Mathematical and statistical methods in geography", "Cartography with the basics of topography". 2. Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of basic geographical and recreational theories and concepts. 3. Knowledge and understanding of the basic spatio-temporal patterns of the structure of the geographical envelope and the scale of its perception for orientation in geographical space.
Course content
This academic discipline is devoted to the study of theoretical and methodological aspects of research and analysis of the natural environment for the organization of recreational activities, conducting comprehensive studies of recreational resources and zoning of the territory for the purpose of recreation. When studying the discipline, special attention is paid to the principles of organizing and conducting scientific research, the application of various principles and methods that will later be used when writing diverse qualification works (from coursework to master's), scientific articles and approbations of scientific research results.

Assessment methods and criteria
Assessment is carried out throughout the semester in the relevant classes. The student submits the electronic version of the assignment (to the teacher's email box) and the report during seminar classes or within the period specified by the teacher. For assignments and reports submitted and made after the specified period (without a good reason), the assessment is no more than 80% of the maximum number of points. For work submitted without a report, the assessment is no more than 60% of the maximum number of points. Tests (test tasks) are held in the eighth and fourteenth weeks of study during lecture classes. Coursework is assessed in the last class or on a date specified by the teacher. A mandatory condition for receiving an assessment is a report. When assessing coursework, the substantive part of the work is assessed at 20 points, the report and answers to the questions posed according to the topic of the selected and conducted research at 10 points.
