Learning outcomes
The learning outcomes consist in the formation of students' knowledge of theoretical and methodological aspects of active recreational activities, the formation of skills in organizing outdoor and indoor recreational activities, in particular: analysis of the development of active forms of recreational activities in Ukraine and the world, Ukraine's place in the active recreation and tourism market; planning of categorical tourist trips; organization of rational nutrition in the field; planning of the group's movement schedule on a hiking route, organization of a bivouac; analysis of the suitability of the territory for organizing active recreational activities; understanding the principles of providing first aid in the field.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful completion of the courses: Human geography, "Geographical local history and regional studies", "Cartography with the basics of topography".
2. Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of basic geographical theories and concepts. Knowledge and understanding of the basic spatio-temporal patterns of the structure of the geographical envelope, and the scale of its perception for orientation in geographical space.
Course content
This academic discipline is devoted to the study of theoretical and methodological aspects of the spatial and temporal organization of various forms of recreational activities carried out both in the natural environment (outdoor recreation) and indoors (indoor recreation). To reveal the role and significance of active forms of recreational activities, the characteristics of the natural and socio-geographical features of the territory of Ukraine for the organization of active forms of recreational activities. When studying the discipline, special attention is paid to the formation of important professional skills and abilities in the organization of tourist trips, life safety, comprehensive tourist training, organization of life, nutrition, basing and sanitary and medical support in field conditions.

Assessment methods and criteria
Assessment is carried out throughout the semester in the relevant classes. The student submits the electronic version of the assignment (to the teacher's email box) and the report during seminar classes or within the deadline specified by the teacher. For assignments and reports submitted and made after the specified deadline (without a good reason), the assessment is no more than 75% of the maximum number of points. For works submitted without a report, the assessment is no more than 50% of the maximum number of points. Tests (test tasks) are held in the eighth and twelfth weeks of study during lecture classes.
