A holistic view of recreation as a socio-economic phenomenon subject to the laws of geospatial organization, and the regional specificity of recreation and recreational nature use in Ukraine, in particular: knowledge and understanding of the subject area and understanding of professional activity; the ability to search, process and analyze information from various sources; skills to ensure safe activity; the ability to exercise one's rights and obligations as a member of society, to realize the values ​​of a civil (free democratic) society and the need for its sustainable development, the rule of law, the rights and freedoms of man and citizen in Ukraine; the ability to integrate field and laboratory observations with theory in the sequence: from observation to recognition, synthesis and modeling; the ability to identify and classify known and register new objects in the geographical envelope, their properties and inherent processes.

Full-time form

Successful mastery of the disciplines "Social Geography", "Geographical and Regional Studies", "Meteorological and Hydrological Studies", "Geography of Eurasia, North America and Australia". Knowledge and understanding of the professional geographical and tourism subject area and profession. Ability to use existing general and special tourism and tourism-geographical theoretical models and practices in professional activities.

This academic discipline is dedicated to the study of theoretical, methodological and regional aspects of the spatial and temporal organization of recreational activities and the study of the specifics of the related nature use. In particular, the formation of systematized and generalized knowledge about recreation as a complex phenomenon, the formation of a basic level of knowledge about the theory and methodology of regional recreational and geographical research in Ukraine; conditions and resources for the development of recreation, patterns of the spread of various types of recreational activities in Ukraine and the features of recreational nature use.

The course has two substantive parts. Classes are conducted in the form of lectures and seminars. The discipline ends with an exam. The specific weight of learning outcomes in the final assessment, provided that they are mastered at the appropriate level, is as follows: learning outcomes – 1 (knowledge) – up to 50%; learning outcomes – 2 (skills) - up to 30%; learning outcomes – 3 (communication) - up to 10%; learning outcomes – 4 (autonomy and responsibility) - up to 10% The recommended minimum for admission is 36 points. The maximum number of points during the exam is 40, the minimum number of points added to the results of the semester assessment is 24 (60% of the maximum number of points allocated for the exam).
