PR04. Understand the basic terms, concepts, principles, theories and laws in the field of biological sciences and on the borders of subject areas
PR08. Demonstrate knowledge of fundamental biological processes, structure and functions of living organisms.
PR15. Apply in professional activities methods for determining the structural and functional characteristics of biological systems at different levels of the organization.
PR17. Through self-study to master new knowledge and modern methods of experimental research to solve problems of biology.
PR23.6. Organize zoological research.
PR24.6. Analyze the structure and organization of different zoocenoses and assess the role of animals in the functioning of ecosystems of different habitats.
PR25.6. Conduct a systematic analysis of the diversity of the animal world based on an understanding of the mechanisms of adaptation of different species of animals to the environment, as well as interactions with other organisms.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of the disciplines "Zoology", "Botany", "General Cytology", "Theory of Evolution", "Ecology and Nature Protection".
2. Ability to independently apply knowledge of general zoology, animal ecology and other disciplines to solve specific scientific and practical problems; work with scientific and scientific-methodical literature.
3. Possession of basic skills of systems analysis.
Course content
The discipline "Protozoology" is part of the program of professional training of educational level "Bachelor" in the educational program "Biology". "Protozoology" is a discipline of free choice of the student, which covers issues of diversity, biology and ecology, features of adaptation to the environment, the practical significance of various representatives of animal-like protists, and outlines a range of methods and approaches that can be used in research in related sciences. and in interdisciplinary projects that require in-depth knowledge of zoology.
