Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful completion of the courses "Bioorganic Chemistry", "Biochemistry", "Molecular biology", "General genetics". 2. Be able to independently apply knowledge of molecular biology, biochemistry, etc. discipline, perform laboratory and practical work, to work with scientific and methodical literature. 3. Have elementary skills of working with materials and equipment used in biological and biotechnological laboratories.
Course content
The discipline is designed to provide students with theoretical and practical training to conduct laboratory work on biochemical topics. The main attention is given students' assimilation of theoretical foundations of physical research methods (method nuclear magnetic resonance), obtaining practical skills in interpretation results of spectral studies, isolation, purification and identification methods of the main classes of bioorganic compounds in biological material, chromatographic methods, methods of obtaining various animal cells, research methods biological membranes (separation of membranes of various organelles, determination of activity marker enzymes).
