Learning by students of the basic principles of design, analysis and testing of digital circuits in compliance with the principles of hierarchy, modularity and regularity.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
To successfully master the material of the discipline "Digital Circuit Engineering and Electronics", it is necessary to master the material of the mandatory disciplines "Higher Mathematics", "General Physics", "Basics of Circuit Theory", "Digital Signal Processing", "Digital Devices", as well as "Programming" , "Computer technologies" and "English language".
Course content
Logical elements. Signal levels and power consumption. Designing schemes of combinational and sequential logic. Finite automata. Description of digital circuits in SystemVerilog. Functional digital blocks. Programmable matrices of logical elements.

Lectures - 32 hrs, practical lessons - 14 hrs, laboratory work - 14 hrs, independent work - 60 hrs, total - 120 hrs.
Assessment methods and criteria
Semester assessment: two written tests (up to 20 points each), laboratory work (up to 20 points) - up to 60 points in total. Final assessment in the form of an exam - up to 40 points.
