2. To analyze, comment and summarize scientific and analytical texts of culturological format. 4. To know and understand theoretical approaches to definition of culture, its manifestations and forms of existence. 5. To collect, organize and analyze information on cultural phenomena, events, historical and cultural processes. 7. To understand the factors of cultural dynamics, the principles of periodization of cultural processes, their specific features and characteristics. 15. To communicate freely on professional issues orally and in writing in the official and foreign languages, taking into account the purpose of communication and social and cultural features of its context.

Full-time form

1. To know the theoretical foundations of the history of Ukraine and world history. 2. Possess basic academic writing skills. 3. To have a command of the Ukrainian language at a level not lower than the level of fluency of the first degree (C1) in accordance with the Decision of the National Commission on State Language Standards No. 31 dated 06.24.2021. 4. To have English at a level not lower than B1 in accordance with the All-European recommendations on language education.

Semiotic nature of cultural studies. Structuralist paradigm of cultural studies. Art as an object of cultural analysis. Applied cultural studies: current problems and tasks

1. Oral survey, discussion 6 points / 4 points; 2. Written independent work (2 PSR, maximum 5 points each) – 10 points / 6 points; 3. Individual analytical task 20 points / 12 points 4. Self study - 24 points / 14 points; – final evaluation (MAX – 40 points / MIN – 24 points): the form of final evaluation is an exam. The form of the exam is written work with tasks of various levels of difficulty. The maximum number of points that can be obtained by a student during the exam is 40 points. – final evaluation: the final evaluation is defined as the sum of evaluations (points) for all successfully evaluated learning results during the semester (grades below the minimum threshold level are not added to the final grade) and the grade obtained during the exam. The maximum number of points a student can receive is 100 points. Written exam - 40/24 points.
