Successful completion of the course "Fundamentals of Vietnamese Translation Theory".
Course content
The discipline involves the development of students' skills and abilities to translate texts from Vietnamese into Ukrainian by applying knowledge of the basics of translation theory in practice; developing skills in identifying translation difficulties and deciding on ways to overcome them, applying all types of translation transformations and compensations in the process of creating a quality translation product; improving skills in working with lexicographic sources, scientific and reference literature.

The course provides for the following forms of learning organization: practical classes conducted using interactive teaching methods and individual work. The main types of work and, accordingly, the objects of semester control are: answers to practical classes and tests. Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the material learned, including theoretical training, which accounts for 40% of the total grade, and practical training, which accounts for 60% of the total grade. The number of semester points is formed by the points received by the student for classroom work and for individual work; in total: in the maximum dimension 60 points, in the minimum dimension 36 points. Final assessment: exam. The criteria for semester assessment and the criteria for exam assessment are presented in the work program of the discipline, published on the official website of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology.
