            PLO 7. To understand the main problems of Persian philology and approaches to their solution using appropriate methods and innovative approaches.
PLO 8. To know and understand the language system, the general properties of literature as an art of words, the history of the Hindi anguage and literature, and be able to apply this knowledge in professional activities.
PLO 15. To carry out linguistic, literary and special philological analysis of texts of various styles and genres.
PLO 16. To know and understand the basic concepts, theories and concepts of the chosen philological specialization, to be able to apply them in professional activities.
PLO 17. To collect, analyze, systematize and interpret the facts of language and speech and use them to solve complex problems and problems in specialized areas of professional activity and/or learning.

            Prerequisites and co-requisites
        
        
            1) successful acquisition of language analysis and interpretation skills at all levels of its structure in accordance with secondary school curricula; 2) knowledge of the basics of literary and linguistic terminology in accordance with secondary school curricula; 3) mastering the skills of analyzing grammatical forms and syntactic structures, as well as basic elementary skills of etymological analysis.
        
    
            Course content
        
        
            The purpose of the discipline is to provide students with knowledge of the basic principles of language theory, with the aim of applying them in the analysis of specific linguistic phenomena in the Latin language, as well as the basics of Latin grammar and syntax; to form the students' skills of etymological analysis of borrowed words from Latin in modern European languages.

            Planned learning activities and teaching methods
        
        
            Learning activities during the semester: oral answers in practical classes; additions, report with analysis of scientific literature, creative task (essay, reader's review) or presentation; modular control work. 
        
    
            Assessment methods and criteria
        
        
            The semester number of points is formed by the points received by the student in the process of learning the material from the entire educational course. The overall grade for the semester consists of points received for classroom work and the unsupervised work of students. All types of work for the semester have as a result: max. 60 points, min. 36 points. The final number of points for the discipline (max. 100 points / min. 60 points) is defined as the sum of points for systematic work during the semester, taking into account the final assessment during exam (max. 40 / min 24).
