Prerequisites and co-requisites
1) successful mastery of the disciplines "Fundamentals of translation practice", "Translation practice", "Fundamentals of translation theory (by language direction)", "Oriental language: advanced level", etc.; 2) knowledge of the theoretical foundations of philological science (linguistics and literary studies), cultural studies, history and geography of China; 3) mastering the skills of lexical-grammatical and stylistic analysis of original works.
Course content
The goal of the discipline is the development and improvement of students' language and translation competence in accordance with their profession, the achievement by future specialists of such a level of translation competence that will provide them with the opportunity to professionally carry out translation activities in various types of translation in oral and written forms from the Ukrainian language into Chinese. In practice, the principles and methods of translation from the Ukrainian language into Chinese are learned. The educational discipline "Ukrainian-Oriental translation" is one of the components of the complex discipline "Translation practice" of the preparation for the specialty "Philology (Oriental languages and literatures (including translation), the first one is Chinese)" under the program "Chinese language and literature and translation, English language" ", consisting of three parts: Part 1. Fundamentals of translation practice (7 credits); Part 2. Practice of translation (Eastern language) (9 credits); Part 3. Ukrainian-Oriental translation (3 credits). Within the third part, two content modules are provided. Teaching and assessment languages: Ukrainian, Chinese.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The course provides for the following forms of training organization: practical classes conducted using interactive learning methods, and independent work. The main types of work and, accordingly, the objects of semester control are: classroom work, answers in a practical lesson, modular control works with open answers. Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the learned material, in particular, theoretical training, which makes up 40% of the total grade, and practical training, which makes up 60% of the total grade. The semester number of points is formed by the points received by the student for classroom work and for independent work; in the end: in the maximum dimension 60 points, in the minimum dimension 36 points. The discipline ends with an exam. Evaluation criteria are presented in the work program of the discipline, published on the official website of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology.
