Form of study
Full-time form
Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know organic chemistry at the bachelor's degree in Chemistry. 2. Have the skills to write organic reactions. 3. To have an idea of the basics of organic chemistry of heterocyclic compounds at the bachelor's degree in Chemistry. 4. Have the skills of spectral identification of organic matter at the bachelor's degree in Chemistry.
Course content
Modern methods of synthesis of heterocyclic compounds (derivatives of three- and four-membered saturated and unsaturated heterocyclic compounds with one and two heteroatoms, as well as saturated and partially unsaturated five- and six-membered five- and six-membered heterocyclic compounds). Structure, chemical properties of heterocyclic compounds and detected biological activity. Relationship between the structure of heterocyclic compounds and biological activity. Physical research methods (1H, 13C, IR, UV and mass spectroscopy) to confirm and establish the structure of heterocyclic compounds. Chemical reactions to obtain heterocyclic derivatives with important functional groups: carbonyl, alcohol, amino, nitro, azo, etc.
