Course content
Students are introduced to the system of organizing scientific and cognitive activities in chemical sciences. In particular, it covers: the problem of formulating a scientific problem, determining the relevance, purpose, tasks, object and subject of research; search for scientific information, the problem of data interpretation, sources of secondary scientific information, general scientific methods of information processing, etc. Variants of the presentation of research results are being considered. Students get acquainted with the system of training and certification of scientific personnel working in the field of chemistry. The problem of increasing the efficiency of scientific activity is considered. Special attention is paid to the issue of academic integrity when conducting scientific research and publishing scientific results

Assessment methods and criteria
Semester control includes homework, test papers and defense of practical works. Evaluation is carried out according to the 100-point system. The maximum/minimum number of points that can be obtained by a student during the semester evaluation is 80 points/48 points. The final assessment is conducted in the form of a credit. The maximum/minimum number of points that can be obtained by a student at the credit is 20 points/12 points.
