Prerequisites and co-requisites
to know: - content and features of gender as a socio-psychological phenomenon; - main directions of research on gender differences; - characterization of gender stereotype as a socio-psychological phenomenon; - concepts and perspectives of gender identity research; - methods of research of gender aspects of personality and society development. be able: - to use gender analysis in own research; - to take into account the social aspects of gender identity in the practical activities of the social worker; - effectively use the gender approach in the practice of social work - to be critical of gender stereotypes to empower clients
Course content
The discipline aims to form the main positional principles on gender issues in the practice of social professionals and in solving important problems in various fields of social work. During mastering the discipline, it is necessary to acquaint students with the main directions of research of gender aspects of multidimensional phenomena of socio-psychological nature, gender identity, and gender stereotypes.

Assessment methods and criteria
The organization of assessment forms provided by the working curriculum is carried out during the semester during students' creative and reproductive tasks, individual work, a compilation of modular tasks, and a final task. Based on the work results during the semester, the student receives a final grade on a 100-point system, which is calculated as the accumulated grades for the modules during the semester. Creative and reproductive tasks for individual work - up to 20 points for each; modular control work - up to 20 points. A student could not take the final test if he scored less than 36 points during the semester. Form of final control - exam. Points: 0-59 - exam not passed, 60-100 - exam passed. Detailed points: 1 - 59 corresponds to the assessment of "unsatisfactory"; 60 -74 - "satisfactory"; 75 - 90 - "good"; 91 - 100 - "excellent".
