Learning outcomes
PLO 3. To apply modern methods and techniques, namely informational, in order to perform successful and effective professional activity and guarantee the quality of research in a specific linguistic field. PLO 9. To characterize theoretical principles (concepts, categories, principles, basic concepts, etc.) and applied aspects of the chosen linguistic specialization. PLO 10. To collect and systematize facts of language and literature, to interpret and translate texts of various styles and genres (depending on the chosen specialization).

Prerequisites and co-requisites
The course "Management of translation projects" involves the possession of general knowledge of translation studies, acquired during the study of theoretical translation studies courses at the undergraduate level, and practical translation skills acquired during the study of the "Practice of Translation" course.
Course content
The course "Management of Translation Projects" includes lectures, during which students get acquainted with the basic principles of translation project management, participants of the translation market, their specificity and interaction, technical means used in the management of translation activities. First, the role of participants in the translation market - customers (international organizations, state institutions and public organizations, commercial enterprises, publishing houses), intermediaries (translation bureaus) and executors - is consistently considered. The organization of translation activities in the institutions of the European Union is studied in more detail. Attention is also paid to the organization of translation education in Ukraine and EU countries, the functioning of professional associations of translators. After that, the issues of translation ethics are considered. In the next part of the course, students get acquainted with the features of the management of large translation projects: selection of translators, management and support of translation activities, quality control of completed translations. The course ends with an overview of technical tools used in translation management.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Learning activities: lectures, practical classes, independent work. Teaching methods: explanatory-illustrative method, method of problem-based learning (problem-based lecture), heuristic method, preparation and discussion of presentations based on the results of scientific research, project work, role-playing, creative and analytical tasks.
Assessment methods and criteria
Current assessment: test, role play, presentation (report), creative and analytical task. Final assessment - credit. Evaluation criteria for each form of control are given in the course program.
