Learning outcomes
To apply the acquired theoretical knowledge and practical skills to study natural and socio-territorial systems at different levels of spatial organization in the context of global processes, transformations and sustainability (PLO 01.). To communicate freely on professional and scientific issues in a foreign language (PLO 03.). To apply modern models and information technologies for research and development in the field of geography, nature management, development of territories in the context of global processes, transformations and sustainability in different spatial and social dimensions (PLO 06.). To study the natural and socio-geographical manifestations of geosystem development in complex and unpredictable conditions, predict their development, analyze alternatives, assess risks and likely consequences in the context of global processes, transformations and sustainability in various spatial and social dimensions (PLO 08.).

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of the disciplines "Geoglobalistics", " Global Inequality and Geoconflictology", " Glocalization: Contextual Analysis of Socio-spatial Organization Transformations ". 2. Basic skills of searching, notating and referencing sources of information, critical analysis. 3. Basic knowledge of quantitative and qualitative methods of geographical research, ability to apply them in research activities; ability to perform comparative geographical, historical-geographical, geospatial analysis, using modern quantitative and qualitative methods and geo-information technologies.
Course content
Part of the course 1. "Strategic geography and Geostrategy": Strategic Geography and Geostrategy. Geostrategic features of the place. Positioning of a place in relation to the geospatial macro-structures of the world system: geopolitical and military, geoeconomic, geocultural and geoecological aspects. Part of the course 2. 1. Tests: 6/12 points 2. Self-study (research-analytic assignments): 12/18 points 3. Oral presentation, additions and participation in discussions at seminars: 18/30 points Final assessment in the form of credit: the final number of points in the course (maximum 100 points) is determined as the sum of points for systematic work during the semester, taking into account the defense of analytic and research assignments. Credit is set based on the results of the student's work throughout the semester and does not provide for additional assessment activities.
