LO7. To consider and critically evaluate the reliability of the results of the psychological research, make valid conclusions. LO9. To propose own solutions of psychological problems in a professional context, to argue own point of view.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of general psychology, world history and the history of Ukraine.
Ability to assess, analyze the causes and consequences of the impact of social, economic, informational, cultural conditions on the individual.
Possession of basic skills to identify, analyze and explain mental phenomena, identify psychological problems and suggest ways to solve them.
Course content
The aim is to form students' scientific ideas about the origin and dynamics of psychological knowledge in world and domestic science, acquaintance with the main stages and periods of development of world and domestic psychological science from the emergence of psychological ideas in ancient Greece to review modern trends in psychological research. The course provides students with basic knowledge of the history of psychological views and their relationship with the current state of psychological science. The course consists of two substantive parts. The first is devoted to the study of the development of psychological ideas from the analysis of primitive beliefs to the ideas of the Enlightenment. The second part reveals the peculiarities of the formation of psychology as a science and psychological theories of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries.

Assessment methods and criteria
1. Oral answer (survey, speech at the seminar, participation in discussions and debates, additions) - I semester 22/14 points; Second semester 42/14 points.
2. Independent work (preparation of the synopsis of primary sources) - I semester 20/12 points; II semester 30/18 points.
3. Written work during the semester (expert control) - I semester 8/4 points, II semester 8/4 points.
4. Final test (I semester on topics 1-8) - 10/6 points; (II semester on topics 9-25): - 20/12 points.
Final assessment in each semester - Exam. The minimum threshold level of admission to the exam is 36 points.
The form of the exam is written. Types of tasks - test tasks, open-ended questions, creative tasks. The minimum threshold level of the examination mark, according to which the exam is considered passed, may not be less than 24 points, the maximum - 40 points.
