Prerequisites and co-requisites
To know the main categories and concepts of psychological science, the history of psychological knowledge, methods of psychology, basic information about mental phenomena involved in the creative process.
To be able to carry out comparative analysis of psychological concepts, theories; to research approaches to the socio-psychological essence of art; to work with diagnostic tools.
To have basic skills in working with literary sources and creating presentations; also the skills of scientific research; searching, processing and analyzing of information; to use the technologies of information and communication.
Course content
The purpose of the discipline is to acquaint the students with the stages of formation of the psychology of creativity and art as a special field; to reveal the essence of the main problems of art psychology and to analyze the approaches to their study; to highlight the phenomenon of creativity, its psychological preconditions and forms of detection; to analyze the specifics of art as a special form of knowledge, not related to rational but to imaginative logic. The first part of the course is devoted to the psychology of creativity, which reveals the basic concepts, theories of types and levels of creativity as a process and result, both the factors that complicate the creative process, and techniques stimulating creative activity. The second part is devoted to the psychology of art - the subject, tasks, methods, main problems of art psychology, the personality of the artist and the group as the subjects of artistic activity; the phenomena and effects of art influencing on society.

Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides
two-level evaluation of the mastered material, evaluation of theoretical
training - learning outcomes (knowledge) - 40% of the total assessment, and
assessment of practical training - learning outcomes (skills, communication,
autonomy and responsibility - 60% of the total score.
Assessment of semester work: oral answer, additions, participation in
discussions at lectures and seminars, blitz polls, intermediate control
test: 25/45 m. The general assessment for the semester consists of points obtained for classroom work (which synthesizes and independent work on the development of theoretical material for
classroom preparation: oral answers, additions, blitz polls,
intermediate control tests, presentation of a scientific report) and for independent
work (report preparation). All types of work for the semester have a total of 36/60 m. The discipline ends with a written exam24 / 40 m.
