Prerequisites and co-requisites
Successful mastering of the disciplines "Oriental language: advanced level", "Lexicology of the first oriental language", "Theoretical grammar of the first oriental language".
Course content
The purpose of the discipline is to give an idea of the territorial varieties of the Hindi language, to acquaint students with the main features of modern dialects of the Hindi language and their territorial variations. A systematic description of the grammatical structure of modern Braj, one of the main dialects of the Hindi-speaking area of modern India, is provided. The discipline belongs to the block of disciplines of the student's free choice and has a practical direction.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Practical classes involve active work of students in the analysis and translation of Braj dialect texts in the classroom, self-study. Control from the teacher's side is carried out through an oral survey and the organization of written tasks, tests, modular control works.
Assessment methods and criteria
Semestral assessment is based on the oral answers, written tasks, lexical dictations, and translation exercises – 24/40 points, modular test papers – 12/20 points. Final evaluation in the form of exam: max. 40 / min. 24 points (60% of the maximum number of points assigned to the exam); the exam is conducted in written and oral forms, the examinational task consist of three questions, viz. 1) written translation of an unfamiliar text from Braj to Ukrainian; 2) grammatical question. Students who in total scored less than 36 points during the semester are not allowed to pass the exam.
