Learning outcomes
P03. Apply the acquired knowledge and understanding to solve new qualitative and quantitative problems of chemistry.
P06. Know the methodology and organization of scientific research.
P07. Freely communicate in English and (if possible) another foreign language on professional matters, orally and in writing present the results of research in chemistry in a foreign language, participate in the discussion of chemistry problems.
P10. Plan, organize and carry out experimental research in chemistry using modern equipment, competently process their results and draw reasonable conclusions.
P12. Assess risks in professional activity and take preventive actions.
P13. Analyze scientific problems and propose their solutions at an abstract level by decomposing them into components that can be investigated separately.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
This course is based on knowledge from the courses: "Inorganic Chemistry", "Analytical Chemistry",
"Organic chemistry", "Spectroscopy of environmental objects", "Modern methods
study of natural objects" taught in the 1st-4th year of bachelor's training.
Course content
The course of this discipline considers the types of safe use of industrial chemicals, nano-materials, pesticides, biocides, as well as various types of food and feed.
Related areas of security concern and interest are also addressed environment, such as: chemical production, sites of chemical accidents and distribution pollutants. The main types of tests for degree evaluation are considered pollution by chemical substances, identification of types of hazards, determination of impact on various
links of the biosphere and risk assessment. Special attention is paid to modern methods physico-chemical analysis of priority pollutants, both natural and of anthropogenic origin.
