Learning outcomes
1 Have the skills of critical thinking, express their own thoughts in an understandable way, and make their arguments.
2 Analyze, comment on, summarize, scientific and analytical texts of a cultural nature.
3 Create logically and structurally organized texts on cultural studies, in accordance with the specialization.
4 Know and understand theoretical approaches to the definition of culture, its manifestations and forms of existence
8 Interpret cultural sources (material, printed, visual, artistic) using special literature and certain methods, reasonably present conclusions about their content.
14 Hold a public discussion and maintain a dialogue on Ukrainian culture with specialists and non-specialists.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
а. Before starting this course, students should know the main stages and characteristics of the
historical and cultural process; basic general scientific theories and research methods; laws of
logic and basic requirements for correct thinking; the main works of classical Ukrainian and foreign literature

The essence and goals of rhetoric as a science. Specificity of the rhetorical approach in the study of communication practice.
Persuasion as a basic category of rhetoric. modes of persuasion.
The concept of "will to power". "Rhetorical culture" and its importance in the development of society.
Forms (formats) of speech communication.
The main genres of oratory speeches.
