Learning outcomes
• provide basic information from the special course "Optics of laser systems" for master's students, which is an important part of the standard course in the specialty "Applied physics and nanomaterials". • teach how to apply theoretical knowledge to solving practical and experimental problems. • promote the development of logical and analytical thinking in students, the application of knowledge, skills and communications in further professional activities.
Form of study
Full-time form
Prerequisites and co-requisites
The educational discipline "Optics of laser systems" is based on a series of lectures from the course "General Physics", namely "Optics", "Atomic Physics", as well as "Quantum Mechanics" and "Electrodynamics".
Course content
The course "Optics of laser systems" consists of three blocks, namely: 1) methods of calculating optical fields and systems; 2) principles of construction of laser systems, control of their characteristics; 3) schemes and principles of construction of active and passive laser systems for use in various fields of science, technology, technologies and everyday life.

Assessment methods and criteria
Evaluation methods and criteria Student evaluation forms: Semester evaluation, preparation and defense of the essay. Admission to the test is at least 25 points. Final evaluation (in the form of a written-oral letter. The total evaluation cannot be less than 60 points. A condition for achieving a positive grade in a discipline is obtaining a total grade of at least 60 points, while the given grade based on learning outcomes 2 [skills] and 4 [autonomy and responsibility] cannot be less than 50% of the maximum level (15 and 5 points, respectively) . , the credit score cannot be less than 36 points. Conditions for admission to the final assessment: the condition for admission to the assessment is that the student receives a total of no less than the critical-calculated minimum of 24 points per semester.
