know the content of the main categories of sociology of social change and theoretical interpretations of social change to carry out a theoretical interpretation of social change within the modern concepts of society transformation be able to identify, analyze and interpret trends in socio-cultural change in modern Ukrainian society critically read and interpret the results of comparative studies of trends in Ukrainian society with the corresponding trends in European societies

1. Know the specifics of the sociological approach to the study of society and social problems. 2. Be able to use sources of empirical information, understand the nature and significance of social indicators; create presentations at seminars, in a mass audience. 3. Have basic skills of group work and public discussion.
