Learning outcomes
To know: - Fundamentals of aesthetics as a meta-theory of art; - Socio-cultural factors in the formation of the current aesthetic space of culture; - Basic concepts of understanding creativity; - Features of the postmodern stage of development of artistic culture; - The role of the aesthetic in the semiotics of contemporary cultural phenomena. Be able to: - Explain the factors of socio-cultural change and the formation of aesthetic dominants; - Correctly use the categorical and conceptual apparatus in socio-cultural analysis; - Critically comprehend cultural and aesthetic phenomena, conduct their research; form a well-founded expert position in the analysis of aesthetic phenomena. Communication: - Present the results of independent research; Autonomy and responsibility: - Independently solve complex problems related to the examination of aesthetic components of modern socio-cultural practices.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Before taking this course, students should: have a holistic understanding of the aesthetic component of human cultural development; know the main philosophical, anthropological, aesthetic and cultural theories and methods that confirm the interdependence of culture and the sphere of the aesthetic. Be able to: collect and interpret information on aesthetic phenomena of culture, cultural and artistic processes and events; identify the aesthetic component in the processes of cultural development. To have: elementary skills of scientific research and information management: collection, analysis, systematisation and expedient handling of information; expert attitude to the aesthetic component of socio-cultural processes and phenomena.
Course content
Theme 1: Essential correlation of aesthetic and cultural studies. Principles of interdisciplinary research; Theme 2. Creativity as a principle of anthropogenesis; Theme 3: Artefact as a structural unit of culture; Theme 4. Para-aesthetics in the study of contemporary cultural codes; Theme 5. Contemporary Art as a space of experimentation; Theme 6. Aesthetics of actionism; Theme 7. Photography as an information and cultural code; Topic 8: Presentation of your own expert opinions on a separate performance followed by a discussion on the prospects for the development of this form of contemporary art; Topic 9. Aesthetics of the thing in the sacralisation of the consumer object; Topic 10. Advertising in the processes of contemporary art; Topic 11. Fashion as an aesthetic mechanism for the transmission of cultural experience; Theme 12: Game as a cultural and aesthetic phenomenon; Theme 13. The phenomenon of creative space.

Assessment methods and criteria
The total number of points in the discipline (maximum 100 points) is determined as the sum of points for systematic work during the semester, taking into account the final control work. Assessment of semester work: 1. Oral report, supplementary reports and participation in seminar discussions - 21/35 points 2. Self-study (text notes) - 5/10 points 3. Self-study (writing an expert opinion - 12/20 points. 4. Self-study (research of cultural and aesthetic phenomena): PH - 10/15 points. The total grade for the semester consists of the points obtained for classroom work and for self-study. All types of work for the semester have - a maximum of 80 points - at a minimum of 48 points The final written test is worth 12/20 points.
