- features of the ionizing radiation influence on the biological tissues;
-physical foundations of the equipment used in the radiation therapy;
- calculate exposure doses when irradiating targets with particles of different types.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know the basics of quantum mechanics.
2. Know the basics of biophysics.
Course content
The course "Physics of Radiation Therapy" is dedicated to teaching of the impact of different types of ionizing radiation with different energies on biotissues; physical mechanisms and principles of the main types of accelerators and nuclear reactors; non-contact and contact therapies.
