Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know the content of the discipline. 2. To be able to analyze, systematize and interpret empirical data characterizing the functioning of social systems. 3. Possess basic public speaking skills.
Course content
Basic knowledge of the foundations of economic theory is provided, namely, familiarization with the main categories and laws of the development of social production, economic entities and mechanisms for using limited resources to achieve maximum economic results. Under consideration the following main topics: the subject and method of economic theory as a science, economic needs and interests of society, economic systems and their types, forms of organization of social production and the theory of money, the essence and structure of a market economy, the theory of market equilibrium, competition and monopoly, the essence of entrepreneurship, capital , expenses, income and their distribution, financial system, credit system, etc.

Assessment methods and criteria
- final assessment (in the form of an exam): maximum assessment 40 points, cut-off assessment – 24 points. The exam is held in written form, consists of 2 theoretical questions, tests and categories.
