PLR 2. To work with information effectively: to select necessary information from different sources, in particular from professional literature and electronic bases; to analyze and interpret it critically; to arrange it and make proper classification and systematization.

To understand fundamental principles of human existence and nature in the contemporary scientific picture of the world, as well as fundamental principles of society with the aim of realization man’s rights and duties as a member of society, awareness of the rule of law, human rights and freedoms and rights and freedoms of a citizen of Ukraine

As a result of the study of previous educational disciplines, the student should have elementary ideas about the general properties and regularities of the nature that surrounds a person.
Course content
The course "Scientific image of the world" consists of one content part. The educational discipline is designed to acquaint students of the humanities faculties of the University with the history of the emergence and development of science in society, the achievements of its individual branches. This discipline should contribute to the formation in students of a modern scientific outlook, without which it is difficult to imagine the civilization of the 21st century.

Assessment methods and criteria
1) Current tests (6 per module) – 42 points / 72 points per module (7 points / 12 points for one test); 2) Presentation (1 per module) – 8 points / 12 points per module; 3) Modular control (test) (1 per module) – 10 points / 16 points per test.
The overall grade for the semester is the sum of the marks for the learning outcomes of the discipline (maximum 84 points) and the marks for the modular control work (maximum 16 points) and is a maximum of 100 points.
