Learning outcomes
PLO 1. To communicate freely on professional issues with specialists and non-specialists in national and foreign languages orally and in writing, use them to organize effective intercultural communication. PLO 9. To characterize the dialectal and social varieties of the Persian languages, describe the sociolinguistic situation. PLO 10. To know the norms of the literary language and be able to apply them in practical activities. PLO 11. To know the principles, technologies and methods of creating oral and written texts of various genres and styles in the national and foreign (Persian and English) languages. PLO 14. To use Persian and English in oral and written form, in various genre-stylistic varieties and registers of communication (official, unofficial, neutral) to solve communicative tasks in everyday, social, educational, professional, scientific spheres of life.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Successful mastering of the disciplines “Oriental language: basic level”, “Oriental language: intermediate level”, “Basics of Translation Practice”, “Basics of Translation Theory”; knowledge of linguistic terminology and basic laws of language development (from the course "Basics of Linguistics").
Course content
The purpose of the discipline is to acquaint students with the lexical, grammatical and stylistic features of business communication in the Persian language, with commonly used language clichés and stamps of official business style, the rules for composing personal, administrative and commercial letters and other documentation. The discipline belongs to the block of disciplines of the student's free choice and has a practical direction.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The discipline provides only practical classes, designed for active work of students in the classroom and aimed at the development of Persian written and oral communication skills in the business sphere. Self-study of students includes completion of homework and translation exercises. Control from the teacher's side is carried out by means of oral questioning and organization of written tasks, tests, lexical dictations, modular test papers.
Assessment methods and criteria
Semestral assessment is based on: oral responses, written works, and lexical dictations – 24/40 points, modular control works – 12/20 points. Summarizing evaluation in the form of exam is max. 40 / min. 24 points (60% of minimum required quantity); the exam is conducted in written and oral forms, and proposes: 1) to translate clichés and sentences from the field of business correspondence; 2) translation of a business letter from Persian to Ukrainian; 3) writing a letter in Persian. Students who scored less than 36 points in total during the semester are not allowed to take the exam.
