            Prerequisites and co-requisites
        
        
            Successful mastery of the discipline requires a level of English language proficiency not lower than B2 on the CEFR scale. In addition, students have:
1. To know the theoretical foundations of basic historical and literary disciplines, basic methods of literary analysis, basic literary terms for each literary direction.
2. To be able to operate with the basic terminology and conceptual apparatus of literary studies.
3. Possess the skills of literary analysis.
        
    
            Course content
        
        
            Discipline "Methodology of teaching foreign language and foreign literature in in Higher Education" aimed at studying the theory and practice of teaching a foreign language from taking into account modern trends in the development of linguistics and linguistic didactics. Discipline introduces students to the trends in the development of foreign language education in Ukraine and the world, system of teaching a foreign language, general principles of planning, organization and ensuring the process of learning English as a means of intercultural communication.
Master's students get acquainted with the main theoretical and methodological parameters of the course of foreign literature at ZVO; modern methodical forms of teaching the course in in the context of active learning in a modern university, in particular with methods of creation heuristic situation as a stimulus for active learning in various forms of lecture and seminar work.
