1. To know the main life forms of organisms. 2. To be able to analyze and interpret research results. 3. Possess elementary skills - working with reference literature and presenting information. To know the Ukrainian language at a basic level.
Course content
The discipline is a component of the cycle of fundamental, humanitarian and general economic training of specialists. Introduction to the curriculum of this discipline recommended by the Scientific and Methodological Council of the university, since environmentalization of all spheres of human activity is a generally recognized priority of states and international institutions in the field of higher education. The subject of modern ecology is the relationship between organisms and the environment and the structural and functional organization of supraorganismal systems (populations, groups, ecosystems, biosphere), mechanisms for maintaining their stability in space and time. The discipline is the scientific basis of all nature conservation work, as well as an integral component of environmental management, environmental forecasting, optimization of certain forms of economic, social or other human activity in the modern and historical aspect.

Assessment methods and criteria
The credit is given based on the results of the student's work throughout the entire semester and does not include additional assessment measures for successful students. For students who scored a total of less than 60 points, in order to receive a credit, it is absolutely necessary to prepare material (not later than a week before the end of the course) on the topics for which the debt arose, in the form of writing current test papers, oral answers and performing independent written assignments.
