Course content
The aim of the discipline is to develop students' understanding of universal functional and semantic categories and national specifics in the grammar of the Ukrainian language. The discipline is designed to acquaint students with the basic concepts of language typology, in particular the typological description of the grammatical system of the Ukrainian language, as well as linguistic universals and uniquenesses. Specific features of the grammatical system of the Ukrainian language that reflect the national linguistic picture of the world are considered: sets of grammatical categories of different parts of speech and ways of expressing them, peculiar syntactic constructions that express various semantic and syntactic relations.
