Course content
Social and communicative internship runs for 6 weeks and takes place separately from theoretical training. Students have internships in public organizations and private companies, language centers and schools needing linguistic services in the Swedish language. Communication and translation internship requires completing assignments related to the use of the Swedish language in the internship institution. The nature of tasks performed by students may vary depending on the place of practice, and includes, in particular, the following types of work: 1) performing written and oral translations from Swedish into Ukrainian and from Ukrainian into Swedish; 2) preparing information materials and presentations in Swedish; 3) participating in preparing and holding international cultural events. Students represent the results of communicative translation practice in a report and make an individual or in-group presentation where the results of the work performed during the intership are explained. Presentations are reviewed and discussed at the seminar at the end of the internship. In addition, students man submit a portfolio with informational materials, translations etc.
