Learning outcomes
1.1 Know the characteristics of the main theoretical paradigms that reveal the meaning of the concept of social movement. 1.2 Know the basic elements of the structure of civil society. 1.3 Know the content of the concept of studying social movements in the context of the transformation of the post-Soviet space. 2.1 Analyze changes in the structure and functions of modern social movements. 2.2 Identify and analyze trends in civil society in Ukraine. 3.1 Demonstrate the skills of reasoned presentation of one's own opinion, competent and tolerant discussion with opponents.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Know - the specifics of the sociological approach to the study of society and social problems; have basic knowledge of the methodology of sociological research; to possess the conceptual apparatus of sociological theory. Be able to - create presentations at seminars, in a mass audience. Have the skills of group work and public discussion.
Course content
Social movements as collective subjects of social dynamics. The main paradigms of the study of social movements. Modern research of social movements. Women's movement as a factor of gender democracy. Urban social movement. Institutional dimension of civil society. Social technologies and their principles of implementation in civil society.

Work on seminars: PH1.1, PH 1.3, PH 3.1 - 36 points \ 18 points. Test work: РН 1.1., РН 1.2, РН 1.3., РН 2.1, РН 2.2 – 40 points \ 12 points Research task: РН 1.1, РН 2.1, РН 2.2 – 24 points \ 18 points. Exam: - PH 1.1, PH 2.1, PH 2.2 - 40 points \ 24 points. Credit 100/60 points.
