Learning outcomes
PLO 4. To assess and analyze critically vital social, individual and professional issues and offer tactics for their resolution, in difficult and unpredictable conditions, which require the application of new approaches and forecasting.
PLO 5. To find optimal ways for effective interaction in the professional community and with representatives of other professional groups at various levels.
PLO 11. To carry out a scientific analysis of language, speech and literary material, interpret and structure it taking into account appropriate methodological principles, formulate generalizations based on independently processed data.
PLO 15. To choose optimal research approaches and methods of analysis for the specific language and literary material.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Proficiency in the German language at the B2/C1 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, proficiency in written and oral mediation in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, and philological training in theoretical linguistic disciplines in accordance with the educational and scientific program are required.
Course content
Research internship in German is an important part of professional preparation for master's degree in philology. It equips students to work in fields such as research, literary-publishing, and education, as well as in teaching and administrating in higher education institutions. The internship takes place over 6 weeks during the 4th semester and carries 6 credits, totaling 180 hours.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The content of the internship includes:
Writing (preparing for publication) an article on the topic of the master's thesis, utilizing the resources of the German Language Center's library. Alternatively, preparing a publication in the form of abstracts or presenting at a conference.
Studying the theoretical literature related to the master's thesis and submitting a report in the form of a list of referenced sources and a draft of the theoretical section of the master's thesis (including sections and subheadings).
Experimental component: Conducting a sociolinguistic experiment or alternatively, processing and collecting empirical data for the master's research (or a specific part of it).
Assessment methods and criteria
The distribution of points for the internship tasks is as follows:
Writing (preparing for publication) an article on the topic of the master's thesis, utilizing the resources of the German Language Center's library. It can be in the form of an article or abstracts (alternatively, presenting at a conference) - 30 points.
Studying the theoretical literature related to the master's thesis and submitting a report in the form of a list of referenced sources and a draft of the theoretical section of the master's thesis (including sections and subheadings) - 20 points.
Experimental component: Conducting a sociolinguistic experiment or alternatively, processing and collecting empirical data for the master's research (or a specific part of it) - 30 points.
Preparation of the final report - 20 points.
