The course "Strength of NPP equipment" allows to strengthen the professional training of students of the Department of Nuclear Physics, specialization "Nuclear Energy", as at Ukrainian NPPs and in organizations providing scientific and technical support to NPPs, there is a demand for specialists in assessing equipment continuation of its resource, capable of performing strength calculations, analyzing their results, conducting comprehensive examinations of large projects.
The course pays attention to the main provisions of strength of materials, elasticity theory, fracture mechanics, taking into account the specifics of their application to NPP equipment, taken into account in current regulations.
