Prerequisites and co-requisites
To successfully master the knowledge of the discipline "Geography of Ukraine", students must: have basic knowledge from courses in natural geography, social and economic geography, understanding of the basic patterns of territorial organization of society; to be able to analyze cause-and-effect relationships between processes and phenomena that lead to the formation of various natural territorial complexes; analyze the causes and evaluate the consequences of economic and social processes; to have modern methods of searching and systematizing scientific documents and primary processing of geographical information; elementary skills of analysis and synthesis of geographical information, comparative geographical analysis.
Course content
to give students in-depth knowledge about the diversity of natural conditions and resources within the territory of Ukraine, the territorial organization of Ukrainian society, taking into account the cause-and-effect relationships of natural, social and economic processes and phenomena; to connect the spatial aspects of the development of the state economy with the strategic directions of the transformation of Ukrainian society into an organic whole; to form professional skills and abilities in students to solve specialized tasks and practical problems in professional activities, to make independent decisions while working in specific natural, socio-economic and ethno-cultural conditions, to foster the need to systematically replenish their knowledge and creatively apply it in practical activities .

Assessment methods and criteria
According to the evaluations of the current control and the results of the control works, the sum of points is set for a separate content part. For each content part (module), a student can receive up to 30 points (of which 20 points are based on the results of the current control and a maximum of 10 points are based on the results of the modular control work). Thus, for the two content parts (modules 1 and 2) provided by the program, a student can receive up to 60 points. Students who scored a total of less points than the critical-calculated minimum (36 points) for both content parts must complete the individual tasks provided by the program again (but with a different version of the task) and/or complete an independent task ( for example, preparing an essay). Final (semester) control of students' knowledge of the discipline - written assessment in the form of a test. The maximum number of points based on the results of the credit test is 40.
