Course content
Discipline of the cycle of professional and practical training. The course acquaints students with the patterns and mechanisms of interaction of major groups of pharmacological drugs with receptors. The subject of the discipline "Pharmacological Physiology" covers both the general patterns of action of drugs at different levels of the body (pharmacodynamics) and the mechanisms of their absorption, distribution, metabolic transformation and excretion (pharmacokinetics). Physiological mechanisms of influence of the main groups of drugs on various functional systems of an organism, possible side effects, specificity of interaction of various medicinal substances, value of individual features of an organism and its condition for display of action of medicines are considered.
