Learning outcomes
students acquiring such competences as: Ability to abstract thinking, analysis and synthesis, to conduct Private Law research (GC 1-2); Ability to search, process and analyze information on topical issues of Private Law from various sources (GC3); Ability to adapt and act in a new situation, to generate new ideas (creativity) in the Private Law field (GC 4, 6); Ability to make informed decisions, to communicate with representatives of other professional groups of different levels in the Private Law field (GC 7-8); Ability to apply the principles of the rule of law to solve complex problems in the Private Law field (SC1); Ability to analyse and evaluate the impact of the legal system of the European Union and the ECHR court on the Private Law of Ukraine

Prerequisites and co-requisites
To know the main aspects of the historical development of the Private law in Ukraine and in Europe, qualification criteria of private relations, general principles of private rights use and the main remedies, sources of Private law, civil legal acts of Ukraine and the main EU legal acts in the Private law, existing case law in the Private field. To be able to determine the legal nature of legal relations as public or private, to evaluate and to determine the role and tasks of Private law in Ukraine and in European countries. To possess elementary skills of the work with educational and legal literature, application of scientific methods of cognition and legal methods of solving controversial practical situations in the field of Private law.
Course content
The forms of teaching and teaching methods of this discipline are aimed at conducting an in-depth legal analysis of the provisions of the Private law of Ukraine and European countries, acquisition of practical skills in solving real-life situations, their correct legal interpretation, developing proposals for improving acting legislation. The course provides students an increased study of the topical issues of the main institutions of Private law, as well as their correlation with the Doctrine of Human rights protection.

Assessment methods and criteria
Forms of Formative Assessment:Oral interviewing, discussion – from 5 to 7 points per seminar; Additions to the presentation – from 1 to 4 points per seminar; Essential questions to the speakers (discourse)- from 1 to 3 points per seminarLegal research - from 5 to 7 points per seminarCase study– from 2 to 5 points per each;Final work – from 12 to 14 points. Form of Summative Assessment: credit. The credit is conducted in the form of an interviewing with possible use of informational-communicational technologies or in the form of asynchrony written work, The final grade for the academic discipline is formed by adding the number of points received during the semester and the number of points received on the final form of control (credit). Such a sum of points cannot be less than 60 points.
