Prerequisites and co-requisites
1) Know the normative course "Civil Law", literary sources on the issues of the general part of civil law, acts of civil legislation of Ukraine regulating the fundamental provisions of civil law, current judicial practice of applying the general provisions of civil law and modern civil law doctrine.
2) Be able to freely operate with the basic elements of the conceptual and categorical apparatus of the general part of civil law.
3) Possess the skills of working with specialized literature, applying scientific methods of cognition and legal methods of resolving controversial practical situations in the field of general civil law, navigate the practice of Ukrainian courts and the European Court of Human Rights on the issues under study.
Course content
The forms of teaching and teaching methods of this discipline are aimed at conducting a systematic analysis of current issues of the general part of civil law, mastering students' ability to think abstractly, analyze and synthesize, as well as the ability to apply knowledge of the basics of civil law theory in solving specific practical problems. The discipline involves a comprehensive study of topical issues of the general part of civil law using various information sources and databases. Particular emphasis is placed on developing students' understanding of international human rights standards, the provisions of the Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms, as well as the case law of the European Court of Human Rights through the prism of the general part of civil law.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lectures, seminars, self-study work of the student on the basis of textbooks, abstracts, methodical recommendations, consultations with the teacher.
Assessment methods and criteria
In seminar classes, the current control of the student's knowledge of the discipline includes: a speech in class - from 6 to 8 points; additions to the speech - from 6 to 8 points; essential questions to the speakers (discourse) - from 5 to 8 points; reports and research papers - from 5 to 8 points; solving a case - from 2 to 8 points.
The following are subject to evaluation: the level of knowledge demonstrated in the answer; activity in discussing issues; systematic work in class; results of homework.
Students may make up seminars missed for valid reasons.
A student who has not reached the minimum threshold level of assessment (24 points) of those learning outcomes that cannot be assessed during the final control may not be admitted to the final assessment. Final assessment: written or oral examination (with the possible use of information and communication technologies)
