Prerequisites and co-requisites
Know the main provisions of the modern doctrine of civil law, legal sources, acts of civil legislation and existing case law and legal positions on the classification of civil rights protection on various grounds: depending on the forms, methods and procedure of protection, civil law institutions of different legal systems and synergy between Ukraine and the EU. To be able to analyze and protect subjective civil rights and interests, to motivate legal decisions on the protection of civil rights and interests in court, in executive bodies, in local self-government bodies, by applying to notaries, the President of Ukraine and self-defense, to give detailed legal arguments for determining the method of protection, to prepare draft documents.Possess the skills of perception and analysis of the provisions of sources of law, decisions of the ECHR, legal positions of the Supreme Court and critical thinking in assessing socially significant processes
Course content
The forms of teaching and teaching methods of this discipline are aimed at conducting an in-depth legal analysis of these issues, providing students with practical skills in solving real situations (incidents), their correct legal interpretation, and developing proposals for improving current legislation. The course of the discipline involves intensive study of the methodology of protection of subjective civil rights and interests by students comparing its provisions with the relevant provisions of civil legislation of the past, as well as with the practice typical for this institution in developed countries. In the course of teaching the discipline, tutoring support is provided to ensure that students are motivated in the educational process and that they maintain academic integrity.

Lectures, seminars, self-study work of the student on the basis of mastering of court cases, abstracts, methodical recommendations, consultations with the teacher
Assessment methods and criteria
The forms of student assessment include: express survey; colloquium; report; testing (select the correct ones from a set of judgments); module test; case study. The minimum score to be obtained by a student on the relevant forms of assessment during the semester is 24 points, the maximum score is 40 points. During the current control during seminars, the following are subject to evaluation: the level of knowledge demonstrated by the student in the answer, activity in discussing the issues of the seminar, systematic work in the classroom, and the results of homework. Final assessment: written or oral examination (with the possible use of information and communication technologies) with a maximum score of 60.
