Learning outcomes
Achievement by students of the following competencies, skills and abilities: ability to think abstractly, analyze and synthesize through the prism of provisions and knowledge of family law; ability to learn and master modern knowledge of the theory and practice of family law, including the practice of the European Court of Human Rights; ability to exercise their rights and obligations as a participant in family relations based on the values of civil society, international human rights standards; knowledge and understanding of international human rights standards, provisions of the Convention on the Protection of

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Know the current family legislation of Ukraine, in particular, the Family Code of Ukraine as well as laws of Ukraine and international treaties of Ukraine governing family relations, special scientific literature, the recommended list of which is contained in this curriculum, and case law on family disputes. Be able to freely operate with the conceptual and categorical apparatus in discussing and solving problem situations; apply norms in the field of regulation of family relations, solve practical problems and draw up procedural documents. Have basic skills in drafting court documents and resolving disputes arising from violations of family rights.
Course content
According to the structural and logical scheme, students begin to study topics related to the general provisions of family law. Having mastered the general provisions, students move on to the study of individual institutions of family law - marriage; marital rights and responsibilities; determining the origin of the child; contesting paternity and maternity; rights and responsibilities of parents and children; rights and responsibilities of other family members and relatives; placement of orphans and children deprived of parental care.

Assessment methods and criteria
report - from 4 to 7 points; express survey - from 4 to 7 points, supplement to the report - from 3 to 5 points; solving a case - from 3 to 6 points; essential questions to the speakers (discourse) - from 3 to 5 points; final (module) test - from 7 to 10 points. Students can make up seminar classes missed for valid reasons in extracurricular time (during the teacher's consultation time). No points are awarded for unworked classes. A student who has not reached the minimum threshold level of assessment (24 points) of those learning outcomes that cannot be assessed during the final control may not be allowed to take the final assessment. Based on the results of the final control form (exam), a student can receive a maximum of 60 points.
