Learning outcomes
The features of the geological structure of oil and gas fields, their main components and factors of formation in geological formations; spatial and temporal patterns of distribution of oil, gas, gas and condensate fields in the world; typical parameters characterizing reservoir rocks, fluid-resistant rocks, tires, traps, parent rocks; principles of oil and gas geological zoning of territories; features of geological structure and oil and gas complexes of oil and gas provinces and regions of Ukraine. Be able to build structural-geological, lithological-facial maps, schemes, sections of oil and gas fields, to interpret, correlate and compare analysis between fields. Independently organize and determine the sequence of research in the study of deposits of varying complexity. Understand personal responsibility for the quality of work performed and obtaining collective results.
Form of study
Full-time form
Prerequisites and co-requisites
Knowledge of physics, chemistry, mathematics (at the level of non-core specialties), basic knowledge of the basics of oil and gas geology, lithology, historical and structural geology, personal computer skills.
Course content
The main elements of oil and gas fields: reservoir rocks, fluid-resistant rocks, tires, traps, parent rocks, deposits. Their parameters and classification. Formation of oil and gas fields, the sequence of filling traps for different thermodynamic conditions. Regularities of distribution of oil and gas fields in the world - spatio-temporal, rock, facies, tectonic, vertical zonation of fields. Passport and documents of the field. Oil and gas geological zoning - oil and gas areas, basins, provinces, regions, districts. Oil and gas geological zoning of the territory of Ukraine. Characteristics of geological structure and peculiarities of distribution of oil and gas fields within the Carpathian, Black Sea-Crimean NGP and Dnieper-Donetsk NGO. Underground gas storage facilities - purpose, structure, classification. World and domestic experience in the construction and operation of underground gas storage facilities.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lectures, seminars, consultations, independent work of students
Assessment methods and criteria
The control is carried out according to the modular rating system and involves oral examination and performance of seminar tasks, where students must demonstrate the quality of acquired knowledge on a particular topic, as well as conducting 2 written modular tests. The final assessment is conducted in the form of an exam.
