Prerequisites and co-requisites
Teaching the educational discipline "Information support of telecommunications systems" requires students to successfully master the material of the educational disciplines: "Programming", "Computer technologies", and "Telecommunications software".
Course content
Models of system description of network architecture. Design approaches and methods. Standards of protocol models. Network concepts. Transport networks. Access networks. Peculiarities of building enterprise networks.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lectures - 16 hrs, laboratory work - 14 hrs, consultations - 1 hr, independent work - 59 hrs, total - 90 hrs.
Assessment methods and criteria
Semester assessment: defense of laboratory work and performance of independent work, in total - up to 60 points. Final evaluation in the form of credit - up to 40 points.
