Learning outcomes
- Know and understand the basic concepts of metrology, measurement theory, mathematical and computer modeling, modern methods of processing and evaluating the accuracy of measurement experiments - Know and understand the subject area, its history and place in the sustainable development of technology, in the general system of knowledge about nature and society - Be able to take into account social, environmental, ethical, economic aspects, requirements of labor protection, industrial sanitation and fire safety in the formation of technical solutions. Be able to use different types and forms of physical activity for active recreation and healthy living - Be able to use in production and social activities fundamental concepts and categories of state formation to justify their own worldviews and political beliefs, taking into account socio-political history of Ukraine, legal principles and ethics.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
- Have knowledge, skills and abilities in the disciplines of the social and humanitarian cycle, such as "Introduction to university studies" and others, - to know the main categories and concepts related to the life activity of a person and society, - to be able to identify and analyze educational and scientific information, to draw reasonable conclusions on issues of professional activity, - to have elementary skills of drafting written documents, correcting their content, systematizing materials necessary for work, effective organization of one's own educational activities.
Course content
The discipline includes two meaningful modules: Module 1 "Selected Sections of Labor Law" forms a set of knowledge and skills in the student of higher education about: forms of realization of the right to work, types of undeclared work; employment contract; working time and rest time; salary; labor protection; labor discipline, disciplinary and material responsibility; protection of labor rights. Module 2. "Legislative foundations of metrology: standardization, certification and technical regulation" form a higher education student a set of knowledge and skills about legal relations in various spheres of metrological activity and a systematic study of legislative metrology documents based on the modern legislative and regulatory framework.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Forms of teaching and learning: lectures, preparation of essays, solving situational problems, independent work.
Assessment methods and criteria
Evaluation of the work of applicants includes current control and semester control in the form of credit. The maximum amount of points that the applicant can score during the course of study is 100 points, which are conditionally distributed 50/50 between the modules "Selected sections of labor law" and "Legislative basics of metrology: standardization, certification and technical regulation". The minimum amount of semester evaluation is 60 points.
