Course content
The teaching of this discipline is aimed at mastering the basic issues of biosafety in the use of pathogens in bioengineering technologies, covers issues of vaccines, biological products. Risk assessment is a process used to identify harmful characteristics of known or potential infectious agents and materials and activities that may lead an employee to come into contact with the pathogen, the likelihood that
such contact will cause infection, and the possible consequences of such infection. The information obtained during the risk assessment will determine the choice of appropriate levels of biosafety and practices, protective equipment and protection of premises that will help prevent infection of employees.
