Learning outcomes
PLO 1. To have critical thinking skills, to present one's own thoughts in an understandable manner, to carry out their arguments. PLO 2. Analyze, comment, generalize, scientific and analytical texts of an ethnocultural nature. PLO 3. Create logically and structurally organized texts on issues of ethnocultural studies, according to specialization. PLO 4. Know and understand theoretical approaches to the definition of culture, its manifestations and forms of existence. PLO 8. Interpret ethno-cultural sources (material, printed, visual, artistic) using special literature and defined methods, present reasoned conclusions about their content. PLO 11. To carry out an expert assessment of ethno-cultural objects according to the specified criteria and to provide recommendations regarding their social actualization. PLO 14. Conduct a public discussion and support a dialogue on issues of Ukrainian culture with specialists and non-specialists.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Before starting work on a research project, students should know the sources, formation, and peculiarities of cultural studies in Ukraine and the world. Be able to work with educational and scientific information in the field of cultural studies, process it, make generalizations and conclusions about cultural heritage. Possess basic skills of research; description and evaluation of the value of samples of ethno-cultural products; research at different levels of cultural text; characterization and analysis of the characteristics of different cultural groups, mastering the skills of their identification and analysis.
Course content
Writing and defending a bachelor's thesis is aimed at deepening the skills and knowledge of research work and establishing the actual compliance of the graduate's level of educational and qualification training with the requirements of the educational and qualification characteristics of the specialty 034 Cultural Studies under the EP " Ethnocultural studies with in-depth study of a foreign language ".

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The bachelor's thesis is a research project of first-level (bachelor's) students. Writing a bachelor's thesis involves several stages: I. Choosing a research topic, drawing up a work plan together with a supervisor (choosing a subject, developing a hypothesis, field research strategy), developing a work plan and its (possible) testing during the annual conference of young scientists of the Institute of Philology of KNUTS / annual Folklore Readings dedicated to Professor Lidia Dunayevska; II. Analysis and theoretical comprehension of the collected data and their formalization into a bachelor's thesis. Discussion at the preliminary defense of qualification works. III. Public defense of the bachelor's thesis at the meeting of the examination committee.
Assessment methods and criteria
A bachelor's thesis is graded on a 100-point scale, taking into account the sum of the points assigned by the supervisor, reviewer, and examination committee in accordance with the approved evaluation criteria.
