PLO 4. Understand the fundamental principles of human existence, nature, and society.
PLO 8. To know and understand the language system, the general properties of literature as an art of words, the history of Turkish and English languages and literatures and be able to apply this knowledge in professional activities.

PLO 13. Analyze and interpret works of Ukrainian and foreign fiction and oral folklore, determine their specificity and place in the literary process (in accordance with the chosen specialization).

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Know:
1) the main periods of Turkish literature;
2) historical and literary terminology;
3) the main historical stages of development of the Turkish people and its culture;
4) have basic reading, writing and listening skills;
5) apply the acquired knowledge in practice;
6) have basic skills of cognitive and professional activity; culture of thinking, its general laws.
Course content
The discipline is part of the elective block "Literary Studies and Translation" and is theoretical and practical in nature, contributing to the formation of basic knowledge of literary theory and gender discourse among students. Special attention is paid to the in-depth study of the concept of gender studies and their place in the history of Turkish society. The program of the discipline consists of 2 content modules. Classes are held in the form of lectures and seminars. The course ends with a test.
